Six days after issuing a new call for help from the public, the Calgary Police Service has charged three men in relation to a 2019 double homicide.

Around 2:15 a.m. on April 3, 2019, police were called to the 2400 block of 37th Avenue N.E. behind Mazaj Lounge and Restaurant, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds inside a grey Mercedes-Benz SUV.

The victims were identified as Jasdeep Singh, 25, of Calgary, and Japneet Malhi, 22, of Airdrie. Both men died of their injuries.

Police believe the two men were targeted by at least two assailants who waited more than an hour for them to arrive.
