A timeless and classic musical show is coming to High River.

Brenda Lee Cottrell will be performing her one woman show at the Spitzee Bar & Grill on Oct. 26.

Cottrell who is from Saskatchewan will be singing various hits of legendary ladies from the 60’s. Great hits from disco, early pop and country will be performed.

Some of the artists that will be performed by Cottrell are Brenda Lee, Petula Clark, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Connie Francis and 11 more.

“People that attend will be able to re-live magical moments in music history,” said Adele Mundell of Rock-A-Billy Entertainment.

Cottrell will be in costume and doing costume changes when she switches artists.

“It is a very diverse tribute that embraces so many other genres of music,” said Mundell.

“This show is recommended for any age. Of course the older generation will love it, but many younger people who enjoy classic music will love it as well.”

“Cottrell is very interactive with her audience and enjoys performing for all ages.”

The singer has a band as well, but she also does solo shows like the one she will be doing in High River and the band won’t be with her.

Cottrell has performed all over Sasketchewan and mostly northern Alberta and has never been to High River.

“She is really looking to come to High River and told me that she’d love to come out here and visit us,” said Mundell.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available for purchase at Sobeys in High River and Okotoks or by calling Adele Mundell at 403-612-7046. Tickets are likely to sell out quickly, so make sure to get as soon as possible.
